have we talked about tori spelling?!

Riding the scooter around the grocery store?

https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-moms/news/pregnant-tori-spelling-uses-motorized-scooter-while-food-shopping-2012178

I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say we don't know what issues she may be having in her pregnancy.  BUT, she doesn't seem the type to keep mum if she's having issues - she's kind of an open book, usually.  I think if I had Tori Spelling money I'd send the help to the store and not end up in UsWeekly riding a motor scooter.

  • Hmm maybe she is on light bedrest? I didn't even know she was pregnant.

  • I won't lie-- every time I have gone to the grocery lately, all I have thought is how much I would love to be sitting in one of those scooters with my kid on my lap instead of dragging my fat butt up and down the aisles and trying to herd my four-year-old to stay in the same aisle as me. . I guess the difference is that I've just thought about it...not actually done it...

  • I think she is supposed to be on bedrest... but still a scooter?

If I were her I would send hubby... but I guess she must have felt left out of the tabloids

My doctor said if I needed to get out of the house I could go to Target as long as I rode one.

Well since we have the same issue I'm wondering if this can act as advice for me, too...

  • I saw somewhere that she is on some form of bedrest.  Who knows.
  • Maybe she is going stir crazy at home if she is on bedrest?

Twice since being put on modified bedrest I've used a scooter. Both times with my H (there's no way I could keep up with DS and a scooter, so I don't go to the store) and both times I've felt SO RIDICULOUS. I want tell everyone, "No really! I'm not just pregnant!"

The first time I'd already walked more than I was supposed to all day just getting to and from a doctor's appointment and the second time was right after the Closet Incident (tm), which just added to my pain. I told my H I refused to use a cart but just walking from car to the store was too much.

Whenever possible, I just send my H to the store, but he is soo not good at making good decisions or buying produce. He has to have a very specific list in order to make it out alive.

  • I rode one at one point or another during all my pregnancies. Either I was on light bed rest and stir crazy or had fainting issues. But sometimes dh could not be trusted to get what we need and I needed to do it myself! Maybe she just needs to get out of the house.

  • I can't even have rational discussion about Tori Spelling b/c I hate her so much.

  • I am supposed to use one when I go to the grocery store now, becasue I am not supposed to push the cart.  The walking for a bit is ok, just no cart.  I tend to not go out if there is not someone with me who can push a cart for me (sometimes even my 7 yo will do it for me!)  I can`t bring myself to ride in the scooter!

  • Yeah. I'm about two crotch ice packs away from busting a motor cart out during my next shopping trip. Dont blame her one bit.
  • I'm not going to judge her for that. We have no idea what may be going on with her, especially being pregnant.

Besides, I would totes love to go shopping in one of those things. Have you ever been on one? They're the best invention. Ever.

  • I used one at the grocery after some foot surgery. I got lots of funny looks from people until they would see the post-op boot. It was nice and helped, but still felt weird.

  • Yeah, I have to say that she doesn't look happy at all. I can't judge her for wanting to be out either - the idea of being on bed rest or even modified bed rest makes my skin crawl. And even with my relatively uneventful pregnancy, I can say in all honesty I have eyed the scooters once or twice this past few weeks.

I suggest a possible Sept12 Target motorized scooter meet up.

That's what I was thinking...she looks a little puffy too..I mean beyond 'I'm in my third trimester' normal puff. Hope she and the LO have a safe and healthy pregnancy, poor thing!

  • No kidding.  I am NOT on bed rest and the pelvic pain is almost unbearable.  I would totally ride one of those.  And, I'm on my first kid.  She's on her 4th with barely 3 months between having baby #3 and getting pregnant.   I'm willing to bet her pelvic muscles aren't being kind to her at all.
