Buffalo OB Gyn?

Does anyone have any recommendations for one in the Buffalo area?  I live in the Amherst area, and I think I want to deliver through Millard Filmore Suburban.  I've heard not so good things about Children's. I have a few recommendations from my gynocologist, but I don't even know what questions to ask when I go for a visit.

Re: Buffalo OB Gyn?

  • I had a really good experience with OB/GYN Associates of Western NY, they are a little more south towns though. I think an office in Lancaster and Orchard Park. I had a lot of early ultra sounds done at Sisters, but ended up at Mercy for the c-section. I was  very happy with both hospitals.

  • My husband and I had been TTC for about 2 years, so we ended up going to a fertility specialist.  I can't say enough good things about Dr. Sperazza at the Infertility and IVF Assoc.  We got pregnant after our first round on Femera.  With going to a specialist, we've been very lucky and we set up for an US at week 5 and I'll have one towards the end of week 7.  After I see them on Wednesday, though, I'll be on my own.

  • I'm seeing Audubon Women's which is near the corner of N Forest & Maple (near Dandelion's).  So far I am happy with them, the have everything in house so so far I've only needed to get my blood drawn at Quest once, otherwise my sonos, NSTs, etc have been done there.  My only complaint, there are 5 or so Drs and you see them all before delivery so it seems like every appt I see someone new and I don't know if I'll recognize them in the delivery room or not (someone is always on call from the practice).  I'm 35 weeks.
  • I go to Suburban Women's currently on Deleware and Knoche but will be moving to a bigger facility in Amherst soon.  They are GREAT!  Cannot say enough about them.  My cousin is a malpractice attorney and is very picky about her dr's and also goes to them.  They delivered both my daughter and her son.  They were also recommended by Dr. Crickard and Sperraza.

  • YES THIS!!!!!!!!!! My doc (dr sanfillippo) left the practice and i loved her so much i followed her!! Shes located on Orchard Park rd in the WNY medical plaza. She delivers at mercy...and i've had two babies there and had 150% wonderful experience and they just re did the WHOLE maternity floor, all new and all private! So i'd go w/ wny ob/gyn or my doc, both are great and had great experience w/ both!!! The one good thing about wny ob/gyn is that they have 2 offices, so they have lots of apts and availability

  • I go to Audubon Women's and delivered at Suburban. I love Audubon Women's! I had pretty regular ultrasounds simply because they have two U/S techs at their location, so anytime something came up they just did a quick U/S

  • I agree...I go to Women's Suburban Health as well, and I love it. I am currently 26 weeks pregnant and they are a great office. I went to three other OB/GYNs in the area before finding them. They are an all women practice and excellent. Sonogram technician right in the office.
  • I go to Buffalo OBGYN. They are on Main St. In Snyder. They are an all female group that delivers at sisters. I delivered my 1st at suburban and had a not great experience. I then went to Omni group in the south towns when we moved to O.P. I really liked them and had a great experience delivering at childrens. It is important to me to deliver at a hospital with a Nicu which Suburban doesn't have. The female drs. At Omni left to start their own practice and I followed them since they are who I had seen during my 2nd pregnancy and really liked them. They deliver at Sisters and I have heard great things about sisters and they also have a NICU so I am happy.  I guess if I have a 4th I will have to deliver at Mercy so I can compare all the hospitals:)
  • I go to Suburban Women's Healthcare on Delaware. They are wonderful! The practice is four women doctors, all of whom are very nice. I am most familiar with Dr. Trevett, who delivered both of my girls by c section, and Dr. Fraas, but the other two are great as well. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Trevett though, she was amazing both times!! Their office staff and ultrasound tech are awesome too which is great! They deliver at Millard Fillmore Suburban.
