Suggestions, Advice?

I am a FTM and I am looking to get the following items but I was wanting to get other moms opinions to see if there were better products/options available.

Graco- Sweet Snuggle Soothing Swing

Graco- Lite Travel Portable Crib or the Graco-Pack n Play Playard

Graco- Simple Snuggles Bouncer (wasn't sure if this is a necessary item)

I appreciate any suggestions or comments :)

  • Swings are expensive, and neither one of my kids enjoyed ours They much prefered the bouncer when they were small, and then a jump-a-roo type thing as they got older. Some babies, however, LOVE a swing. If you can, I'd borrow one first to see which camp your baby falls into before buying one. We have gotten so little use out of ours. I could not have survived without a bouncer. The one you choose looks cute. They are all so similar. I also recommend a rock and play for putting the baby in during the day if you need to get something done, or at night if they are fussy.

  • Borrowing a swing is good advice.  My son slept in his for 4 months so it was a must for us.  He was colicky and had reflux.  I'm not sure how we would have survived without it.  Not all babies are that fussy and some hate the swing.  If you buy one, keep the box and receipt.

We used a bouncer a lot, too.  It's great for bringing into he bathroom while you get ready, or sitting on the table while you're eating, etc.

We still use our PNP and DS is 16 months old so I recommend that, too.

  • I found amazon.com a really good place to find reviews.
