Natural insect itch relief

I hope this is the correct board to post this on.  But I just found out a great tip for getting rid the itch of mosquito bites, vinegar.  I used it this morning at the suggestion of a friend of mine and it worked instantly.  And it stayed for at least 3hrs.

  • Use Tree Tea Oil instead- just one swipe and you never have to repeat.  Also, you can mix half water half tree teal oil and use it as repellant.  We live in a very rural area where they don't spray and I rarely get big.  Not to mention, there are TONS of other uses for Tree Tea Oil.

Tea Tree oil is great.  It has a strong smell though.  DH hates it, but luckily DS loves it.  We live in the woods and DS is always getting bitten, but he doesn't even seem to notice the bites after I dab with the oil.  Great for pimples too!

  • I've heard Roman Chamomile EO is good for putting on bites as well. Apparently they will just disappear over night... I haven't actually tried this yet, but a friend of mine has.
