New to The Bump

Two positive tests?!

Greetings! As Juno put it, "I'm forshizz up the spout." Guess I'm not suppose to say for sure until the Dr's app on Thursday...

We wanted kiddos someday, but this was definitely a surprise. I'm so clueless!!!! Prenatal vitamins? Ultrasounds? Registries? When does it all begin? Suppose I'll just learn as I go. :)

  • First off...CONGRATULATIONS!!!

    Second...prenatals NOW!

That is what everyone asked when I announced it (well, everyone who had babies already) and the first question the lady on phone asked when I made my appointment.

registries...you have lots of time to get that figured out. look at stuff and get ideas on the ones you want as far as the large items go (strollers, cribs, car seats, etc) I started an unofficial baby registry on Pinterest consisting mostly of items that you can't typically register for (like from Etsy, or Barnes & Noble).

Ultrasounds will just happen in the doctors office. Right now I am just going wth what the midwife tells me and follow the directions on the millions of handouts they have given me!

Pick up a copy of What to Expect When You're Expecting...I have barely touched it so far but it has answered a lot of questions already.

I still feel pretty clueless...LOL here is to first babies!! :)

Make sure to eat iron rich foods and that you are getting lots of calcium, my midwife told me 1,500mg each day (so I had to start supplementing)

    GOOD LUCK!!!
