Advice needed for a party-filled weekend!

Tonight is my best friend's personal shower, which, in her family, is a giant booze fest in a room full of women. Tomorrow night is my other good friend's bachelorette party. Both women know I'm pregnant. but no one else at either of the parties knows. Let's hope I'm a good liar when asked why I'm not drinking, and that the other women will be drinking too much for their "woman's intuition" to kick in!!

Has anyone else been in a situation like this? What did you do to make it not-so-obvious?

Could you possibly drink sprite or something that looks like it COULD be alcohol? I think as long as you have a drink in your hand, no one will question it.

I havne't been in a situation like that yet, but tomorrow I will be. I plan on drinking sprite in a solo cup. Maybe mixing sprite and cranberry juice?

Drink tonic water with a splash of cranberry (vodka tonic with a splash of cranberry)...or get a beer and just pretend to drink it.

I'm getting away with not drinking tomorrow by generously volunteering to be DD.

From there on out, I'm trying out the 'upset stomach' routine.

For better or worse I have lots of experience with this one....

OJ and water with ice looks like a screwdriver or gin and juice.

Cranberry and water with ice looks like a cape cod.

Lemonade and water can sometimes pass for a margarita

Club soda or sprite with a lime passes for just about anything.

Orange juice and sprite will pass for a mimosa

Bring a rinsed out beer bottle and fill it with something carbonated.

Since you have a couple of people who know have them help you out with making your drinks if you think people might be suspicious. Have fun and someday in the future it will make for some great stories

I got my BFP last Friday and went away for vacation with my family that night. I was offered multiple drinks and just passed on them and explained that I am trying to lose weight. My family already knows I am working with a trainer and am fairly careful about what I eat, so this wasn't a stretch for me.

I ordered a club soda with a lime, but the waitress ruined it when loudly announcing my drink at the table. She didn't announce the other drinks, just mine... I ended up just telling people I was on antibiotics if they had that questioning look.
