I swear, they are taking shifts on who gets to interrupt my sleep. Since DS learned to STTN, my sweet daughter has done all of the following:
1. Fell asleep on the couch with a babysitter and wet it. I was up cleaning couch cushions when I got home at 1am!
2. Peed the bed. Seriously. Seriously!! She never does this so frequently
3. Bloody nose at 3am.
4. Dreams about fighting robots who are kidnapping moms and dads, requiring cuddles in her bed. With this one she woke up screaming, "Mommy! Help me! I need HEEEELLLLPP!"
Of course this wakes up the baby since they share a room. Then I need to nurse and put him back down. Some weeks it seems like I will never sleep again. Oh, the joys of young children.
Re: My children are conspiring against me (sleep)
Aw I'm sorry Mama. We've been dealing with something similar over here.
Something that seems to be helping us is a sleep chart. DD1 gets a sticker in the morning if she made it through the night without waking anyone.
Not sure if Ellie is into stickers, but I'm sure you could find a reward system that would motivate her.
Good luck!
Uh yeah, how many times a day do you think, "did I really just say that?" Last week DS1 was coloring on the wall and I said, "Liam, did you just color on the wall?" his response, "no, I did stripes"...because, somehow in his little 3 year old mind, coloring on the wall = not acceptable, but stripes, stripes are beautiful!
I love little kids' logic.
DD1 greeted me with soaked pj's the other morning. I asked her if she'd had an oopsie. Her response :" No, I'm just wet".
