FFFC anyone?

I'm bored. Give me something good!

Mine: I had a dream about Justin Bieber a couple nights ago. I woke up so confused. REALLY wish we could choose who was in our dreams!

Aww thanks! I don't know why it's so dang big! I resized it yesterday. Is it still huge on your end too?

  • Instead of throwing his dirty clothes in the laundry basket, my husband tosses them on a chair in the living room or leaves them in a pile by his dresser, even though the hampers are just steps away.  So I decided I am not washing those clothes until they are in the laundry basket.  The piles are pretty big now.  I am wondering when he will notice.

I realize this is passive aggressive and it would take me 2 seconds to pick them up, but I am just.not.going.to.do.it.

I have tried this approach multiple times. Without fail, every time it's ME that gives in and cleans them. Ugh.

Yeah in the end I think you'll end up doing a ton of his laundry. LOL!

I don't mind doing the laundry--I always do all the laundry.  It's the fact that he can't put the clothes where they go that drives me crazy.  And soontobe--I am NOT giving in!

  • I need to do this...my DH sets the clothes on TOP of the hamper, even when it's empty.  WTF?  It's too hard to open the stupid hamper?  I guess I should be happy it's in the right area, but it still bothers me.

  • 1.  soontobe... LOVE your siggy :)  I was going to say something yesterday and it slipped my mind.  So stinking cute.

    2.  I have a friend who trained her husband to use the hamper doing that, jc.  If it wasn't in the hamper, it didn't get washed :).  She said it used to piss him off, but not enough to do the laundry, lol.  I think my DH would just wear dirty clothes.

    3.  Steph- my DH does the top of the hamper thing.  I don't get it.  Especially since we have 2 hampers... 1 in the closet with no lid and a wicker one next to the dresser.

    4.  My confession.  My child drinks juice.  Not really at home much (not that I'm opposed to it, I just don't buy it), but it's what I order him when we go to fast food restaurants.  I guess that should be another confession.  I order for him off the kid's menu at fast food restaurants.  He had a grilled cheese and juice box at Sonic on Tuesday then played in play area.  Big fun :)

I didn't send thank you notes for V's birthday gifts.  Not even to the people that didn't come, but sent a gift.

DH does the exact same thing!  When we first started dating I would be at his mom's and there was always just a pile of dirty laundry on the bathroom floor- no hamper.  Well, I guess that bad habit has stuck with him.  In our old house the hamper was in the bathroom, and DH still threw his clothes on the floor right in front of it.  The top of his dresser is worse b/c I never know what's clean or dirty and I've nagged him about all this so much that I don't even think it registers anymore.  I tried your laundry experiment several times and he's never caught on- but I wish you luck!

My FFFC:  a couple weeks ago Maya was running around upstairs having naked time while I was doing something (folding laundry, bumping, I don't remember).  I look up to see her running down the hallway, and she had pooped- gross!!  I didn't want her to sit on the carpet and smear any poop on her butt into the carpet so before I cleaned it I snatched her up and took her to get wiped.  I came back less than a minute later with a wipe to pick up "the logs" but they were gone.  And my little dog Dingo was licking the spot where they were just seconds before.  So gross!!  I watched Dingo for the rest of the day luckily but he never got sick.  And I know that there are a bunch of you out there right now nodding your heads saying, "This is why we don't do naked time," but it hasn't deterred me- she still goes au natural everyday and loves it!

If my dog could type, her FFFC would be that she loves eating rabbit poop and does it on the daily.  I bet if I offered her some baby poop she'd be all over it.

Thanks. Smile It's from like a month ago, but I hadn't been on much so I didn't change it. It cracked me up!

As for your juice thing...my DD only gets special drinks like that if we go out to eat. Don't feel bad.

Here too.  My dog eats his own vomit.  I doubt he'd turn his nose up at baby poop.

This is us...but I did tell DH I wouldn't be washing his clothes if they don't make it into the basket.  So there is laundry laying around, but most of the time he puts it in the basket.  If it doesn't make it in then it doesn't get washed.  If he needs something special and it didn't make it in, he washes it himself or wears it dirty.  I stick to my guns and only wash what gets put in the basket!

This... except DD drinks juice a tad more often than that. Just a tad.

  • My FFFC: I give Ty hot dogs, on the reg.  I cut them up super small, but seriously, the kid loves them and if I'm desperate for him to eat a full meal I know I just have to give hot dogs.  I do buy preservative free ones to make myself feel better.

  • Hahaha.  I kid.              Maybe

  • I allow Audrey one juice pack a day.  Sometimes she drinks it all.  Sometimes she doesn't.  It's organic.  The only thing besides juice is filtered water and that's the first ingredient.  She won't always drink water from a sippy.  From my cup?  Sure.  Just not always from a sippy.
  • DD was bit at daycare yesterday. I am pretty upset that it happened because I feel like she has been ignored the past week or two due to a bunch of new babies in the room. And it's seems like more than a coincidence that it happened now for the first time ever.

I feel like if I posted this in a different thread everyone would telling me that it's no big deal, that it happens, etc. That's fine. But, let it happen to someone else's LO, not mine!

  • Mine is that some days I give Liv juice without diluting it first. We keep it in stock in case she needs a little help in the BM department but it's rare so some days I just let her drink it. She's never finished a whole container. At most she could probably take 1oz and would probably get to drink juice less than once a week.

I've also given her a version of Nutella-on-the-go in the car while I was driving because she was so good and wasn't crying! ha. When we got to my aunt's, we all had a good laugh at how much chocolate was on her face. Pretty sure many moms who don't know me would have frowned seeing at that scenario but I know I am a pretty logical person and it is okay to do something like this once in a while.

I sent them to everyone except MIL. I intended to, but time got away from me, aaaand the flameful part...I partly didn't send her a thank you because I know she got LO's gift at a garage sale and there was very little thought put into it. I know the amount of money she spent on his gift shouldn't matter, but she's been so absent in his life up until now (especially because she only lives 30 minutes away), and she hounded us for SO many years about when we were going to have kids, I expected something a little more for her grandson's first birthday. /end confession-whine.
