Morning sickness getting worse?

Has anyone else experienced worsening morning sickness upon entering the second trimester? I feel like all this week I have felt even more nauseous, and have been getting sick more frequently, even if I take my anti-nausea medication. I was really hoping it'd be starting to let up at this point. I'm wondering if my body is having a little "last hurrah" before it finally lets me feel better. Ugh.

  • I didn't throw up at all until about 11 weeks. It got really bad around 13 weeks. I'm 15 weeks now and still taking Zofran every day.

With my first, I got better around 16 weeks.

  • yep, normally I'd be sleeping right now since I got to sleep around 2 am after work, but intense nausea woke me so I had to get some crackers and some meds.  I'm still trying to get to the point I can sleep again so I won't be dead tired today.

  • I just hate this. Almost every day for 8 weeks now. I just want to hibernate until it's over.

  • mine hasn't gotten worse but it certainly isn't getting better.  i'm sitting here right now hoping i don't throw up, even with the zofran. i've been like this since week 6 and i was really hoping it'd be over by now.

  • Mine was pretty bad from 6-11 and then I started taking 4 mg of Zofran. About two weeks later they had to up it to 8mg and I feel nauseated all day long. It's not working like before. I thought it was a magic drug and I felt back to normal, but now I still feel sick constantly with no appetite and I am forcing myself to eat to prevent myself from actually being sick!  =(  Hopefully we will all get some relief soon! fingers crossed!

  • Just threw up my OJ.  Not a good choice for breakfast, in hindsight.  It comes and goes for me.  My midwife told me that m/s is a sign of high hormones, and is good, I just have a hard time sharing in her positivity when I'm puking and peeing my pants at the same time.  Can't wait for it to end.

I also try looking at it like, "The worse I feel, that means my hormones are good and the baby is okay." But at the same time, if morning sickness were a person, I would punch them in the face.

  • Same here! The moment I hit 12 weeks & 6 days I was very sick for an entire week. First time a threw up during the pregancy thus far.

Someone told me about Preggie Pop Drops that is sold a Babies R Us. They are wonderful and have helped very much! They are cheap too and all natural. You might want to get some. Hope you get feeling better soon.  Smile

  • I'm the same. I had a lot of nausea in the first trimester but didn't start throwing up until about 10 weeks or so.  Around 13 weeks I started throwing up a lot more.  Puked 4 times yesterday.  I hope this is the storm before the quiet ; )
  • I had a lot of nausea from week 6-12 but I didn't actually throw up until I was 13 weeks, and the nausea has gotten worse since then. I got sick this morning too and now I feel horrible. :(
