I'm debating if I want to do a maternity photo shoot. I didn't do one with DD, but considering it this time around as this will probably be my last pregnancy. I just can't decide...thoughts?
I will be. We're making it a combined family session too because I want to have our last family photos as a family of 3 We'll be doing them when I'm around 33 weeks.
Yep, DH and I are doing them this weekend. Not going to do any bare belly pics or anything like that, it's more of a "yay we're having a baby, let's get some pictures made!" sort of thing. And the photographer is the same guy who will do our newborn/family pics so that's kind of nice.

Did ours this past weekend and loved it. I bought the package: maternity + newborn. Maybe it's b/c I'm a FTM, I want something nice to remember my first pregnancy by

Yes! I did a professional one at 6 months, and then DH took some awesome pics at 7 and 9.5 months at home when the sunlight was just perfect. Just as I did with my first baby, I put the photos together myself and made a great maternity book with www.mypublisher.com. Both of my maternity books are similar and I LOVE them and I am so glad I did them! My Publisher does the best photo books IMO
I think you should! They are fun and something to remember your pregnancy with! Pregnancy is a special time and what better way to remember/spoil yourself then to take some professional pictures!
My cousin didn't take any with her first and she regrets it.. Said she definitely will next time around!
I did mine last week at Target which might sound tacky but we have some really nice pictures to remember this pregnancy by and it was no where as expensive as a regular photographer.
More than likely we won't do a photo shoot. I thought about it, but we just decided to do a family Christmas photo with the new LO. However, my FI's best friend is coming to visit and he's a photographer so I'm thinking I might ask him to take some pictures but it's also ridiculously hot outside and our house is too small to "make" our own photo area. It's not that big of a deal to us.
If I do take pictures, it wouldn't be professionally. I think that if I had more disposable income, it would be a lot of fun, but since I've got a fairly limited budget while we save for baby, I'd rather spend my entertainment dollars on the foods I'm craving.
But I do think that maternity pictures look like a lot of fun and a great way to remember the event, so I say if you can afford it, go for it!
We did a couples' shoot. Soooo glad we did it! The pics turned out to be so beautiful. We actually had a friend take them. We have a nice Sony camera and had the hard pics printed off of iPhoto! there are definitely alternatives if you don't wanna splurge for a pro photo shoot.

This. Although we already did them - at 36 weeks. I would if I were you... it is so fun to look back at them. There are tasteful ways of doing them!
I got lucky. I had decided to skip maternity photos because there are so many other things I need to spend my money on right now, but a friend of ours is a photographer and offered to do them for free, so I took him up on it. We took the photos last Fri and are waiting to see them.
I did, but my H did them b/c he's a professional photographer, otherwise I wouldn't have. I didn't do any bare belly shots either. All just me, fully clothed. I paid to have my make up done but did my hair myself.
ETA: I believe we did them at 32 weeks.

I'm not a fan of my pregnancy look, but I did what some photos while I was pregnant so I asked my photographer (who did our wedding and will do our newborn shoot) to come and take some pics during my shower. That was I wouldn't feel akward, but I would still have something to look back on.

Not my style... I've seen too many tacky maternity shoots and hardly any that I actually like. I'd MUCH rather have professional pictures of my new baby than of my enormous belly.
