This seems much needed. Everywhere I look there seems to be homophobia and sad health news. I don't believe in this stuff, yet DW says it may be because of the double full moon this month. So, to continue with a bad vibe theme (and because it is the only Friday Fluff I can think of): Last meal...in other words, you get to choose the last meal you will ever eat...go!
If I already did that one, or if you want to answer two, or if you just want a more uplifting question: Name the FIRST thing/person/image you would like to see in the morning.....go! And try to keep it clean, bumpies People are at work for crying out loud
Re: Friday Fluff
Last Meal: This is a super tough question! It would be carb heavy for sure. Some bread with the herbed dipping oil. A big bowl of fresh pasta with creamy alfredo, spinach, and bacon. With a pint of B&J (we all know my obsession there) ice cream!
Uplifting question: Kylie smiling and happy. I love going in her room in the AM and seeing her just woke up and smiling all snuggled under her covers!
Last meal would have to be hibachi and sushi roll from a place here local to me. Its soooo good I just had it Sunday for my birthday!
The first thing I like to see in the morning is the alarm clock to show a time past 7am!!!! BUTTTTT since that never happens, my kids or my partners face always puts me in a good mood
Last meal: I think I'd have to go w/ the melting pot - all 3 courses. and a side of delicous mac and cheese.
First thing: I miss cosleeping and waking up to the sweet sleeping faces of my babies.

Oh, man... Tough question! My food preferences change as much as the weather in New England, so I really can't say what I'd want. I guess perfectly grilled rib-eye is always a win with me, so that's a possibility... OHOHOHOHOHOH I know - I'd go to a Brazilian churrascaria (all-you-can-eat meat on giant skewers - google it). YUMMMMMMERS!
I got so excited about the meat I forgot about the second question. Ooops.
I love it when K and J wake me up together. Favorite thing ever to see in the a.m.: their faces.
Well because of my recent scare this is right up my ally as I have been thinking about stuff like this ... OMG.
Last Meal - It does not go together and not really a meal its just things I want before I kick el bucket which is/was apparently near
I would like a beverage something paradise-y ( dont judge HA )
then a bowl of Peanut butter captain crunch - some Texas toast ( or the best garlic bread ever really been craving that lately)
truffle mushroom pizza from trader joes
a few bites of a real jewish deli pastrami sandwich ( i know I'm a vegetarian i dont get it either with a new pickle DILL and coleslaw ( very particular bout the slaw))
A veggie ruben from Follow your heart ( or a few bites of it )
some of my moms matzo ball soup
a warmed brie round with pears but realy juicy yummy pairs and a glass of Champagne
Then - some vanilla bean ice cream with wheatgerm and the most gigantic bowl of the best creme burlee ever.
Oh and a grilled cheese sandwich -

Last meal: I would most likely have my mom make me a spread! lol Cheesy potatoes, pot roast, french onion dip, apple crisp, oreo balls... nom!
First thing: I love waking up at the same as DP! It does not happen nearly enough, but I looovveee seeing her sleepy smile!
Last Meal: Oy! Both Mom and Dad are on the hook for this one (plus a little Grandma). Matzo Ball Soup to start, and then SOMETHING that my Dad makes. Anything with meat, really. He's just a phenomenal cook/chef. Maybe standing rib roast. Roasted eggplant. My Mom's Mac and Cheese (which I think she hasn't made in about 25 years). Then another side of pasta puttanesca. Some GREAT wine with dinner. GREAT beer with dessert. I'm not such a dessert person, but probably a rich carrot cake! YUM. Or maybe cheesecake ... wow this isn't a good topic for me to dream about right now, I could go on and on (I already did).
First Thing: My wife's sleepy but awake/excited face. I know it's always going to be a good day when she's in that mood (and we're both still in bed at the same time). Then in the background my sleeping cat, and sleeping puppy. Ahhhh, the good life.

I read TB on my phone during the day but don't like to post from my phone...so I have been thinking about this all day so that I could go home and post.
I love food, and I have a feeling if you asked me once a week what my last meal would be, I would give a different answer every time. That said, here is what I decided today:
Fried chicken (specifically from Strip-T's, a restaurant near my house -- best fried chicken I've ever had). Fresh native in-season corn on the cob with lots of butter and salt. Mashed potatoes. I'm now realizing this is like a really good version of KFC, so I might as well throw in one of my wife's homemade buttermilk biscuits. Butter. Dessert: brownie cheesecake drizzled with salted caramel.
