Wish me luck!
Its just a transfer to the city I live in so I wouldnt have to drive an hour in the snow with LO.
Im nervous because it would mean daycare. My mom lives in the city I work, so she watches him now. Im absolutely terrified something bad is going to happen at day care but in all reality the chances of a serious crash on a busy, frozen freeway is way more likely.
So, Im just nervous. Its alot of changes at the moment.
UPDATE
Got the job. Im excited but nervous about how much Im going to be away. Thanks for the luck! Now the search begins...
Re: I have an interview tomorrow/ job means daycare for LO **UPDATED**
I agree with the pp that finding the right daycare is key. We take our girls to an inhome provider who lives 2 blocks from our house...so driving with them in bad weather really never happens. We all adore our provider and she loves the girls like they were her own. She even took DD1 at 1 in the morning when my water broke with DD2.
FWIW: "Bad" things can happen to your child in any setting. Just because they are in daycare doesn't "up the odds". They could hurt themselves just as easily with your mother (or you) as they would in a daycare setting. My DD1 hasn't gotten hurt once at daycare (knock on wood!) but fell down a front porch stair with while she was with my mom and one time bumped her head into the table pretty good while with me.

Like others said, it depends on daycare. DS has been going for 3 weeks now and we *love* it!!! The teachers are so excited to see him every morning (one of them calls him her "little boyfriend" and tells us she tells her actual boyfriend all the stories about DS every day... she even showed me pics on her phone she took of him!). You can tell when they really care, and it's wonderful!
Plus DS has been sleeping through the night (most nights) since we started there. They can provide much more stimulation than just myself or DH could do, and they tire him out! There's also a webcam so i can spy on him all day long from my computer
I got a lot of crap from people and our pediatricians about putting him in daycare, especially since he was a preemie, but I have no regrets!
