I've never written a resignation letter before..

I just accepted my dream job! Doing ultrasounds for an OBGYN office in a larger city with great benefits and only four days a week. Plus working with one of my BFFs..

Now I have to my notice in tomorrow. I searched online for some examples and this is what I came up with but my husband said it was stupid. (typical).

Any thoughts or improvements? I was just trying to keep it simple but on good terms. The director is going to be very upset when I turn this in because we only have two other sonographers and they both suck. (no better word.)

 

 

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing to announce my resignation as Ultrasound Supervisor, effective four weeks from this date on September 14, 2012.

This was not an easy decision to make. The past five years here have been very rewarding. I have enjoyed working for this hospital as a team dedicated to quality patient care.

Thank you for the support and the opportunities that you have provided me during the last several years. Please let me know of anything I can do to help during this transition time.
