Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Questions for moms who use Enfamil:

Are you moving your 9 month old up to the enfagrow toddler formula? Also, checks that say Enfagrow, are those only good for the toddler formula? And finally, is it ok to switch back and forth between infant and toddler formula? I did this with infant and newborn without a problem, but wondering if it's ok to do the same with the infant and toddler. Thanks!

Re: Questions for moms who use Enfamil:

  • DD is still using the infant formula. I don't think it is a problem is you switch back and forth.

  • We also use Gentlease and we wIll be working towards phasing out completely with WCM. We will not be switching to Enfagrow toddler at all.

  • We switched to the Enfagrow Toddler Soy. We had been on Prosobee and I had always used the concentrate so LO would never take powder Prosobee, So when I got the coupons for the Enfagrow Toddler Soy I started using the powder version of that. It has worked out perfectly.

  • I'm going to use up the samples I got, but probably not till 12 months, and only after I run out of infant formula. My doctor and I don't see the point of a specialized toddler formula. If LO is getting all the nutrition s/he needs from a nutritionally balanced diet of healthful foods and WCM, then additional supplements (including toddler formula) just contribute to really expensive pee and poop.

The Baby Bargains book calls it a waste of money, and I agree.
