Funny thing happened- "Poughing" story

Last night, I went to blow out a candle before I went to bed. I am getting over a cold, so I still have an annoying cough that sometimes I can't control. I went to blow the candle out, but didn't blow hard enough for fear of having a coughing fit. So I blew a little harder, then harder, about 5 times. Finally I got fed up and blew a little harder than I should have.. I ended up having a coughing fit & peeing my pants because I was coughing so much.

After all that, I didn't even blow the candle out. I had to use water to put it out. I can't wait until this cold is over, and  to stop "poughing" and "snissing".. makes for a funny story, though.

Thought you'd get a kick out of it, and probably can relate! Wink

    I had that same cold. Ugh it was horrible! Drinking hot drinks helped if I had a coughing fit. I'd cough till I couldn't breathe and had tears running down my face! DH felt horrible since HE brought it home!!! ...  Sadly now my mom has it and got so fed up with peeing with every cough or sneeze she bought the diapers!!! Never thought I'd see the day!! .... Don't tell her I told you though! ;)

    I've had the cold and now allergies hit. I had a coughing fit (should not have put pepper on my broccoli) at my dad's last night. Couldn't breathe, tears streaming, led to puking. Plus, my coughing was so bad it made the muscles in my back feel like they were on fire. Now today, everytime I cough or sneeze, my back hurts and feels like it is on fire again. Sick of being sick for sure. Crying
