6 week old in Baby K'tan

So my LO hates the "kangaroo" position, she stretches her legs out in it and continually cries. The instructions say not introduce the "hug" position until 3-4 months, but I'm wondering if it would be safe since she fully stretches her legs out already? Has anyone tried the "hug" younger than 3 months?

I have put her in the Baby Bjorn and she is comfortable and falls asleep every time, but I am not a fan of that carrier.

My 8 week old has been in the "hug" position for about 3 weeks now in his Ktan and we both like it better than the "kangaroo" one. If you hold the baby to your chest and their legs can comfortably open to your sides then you should be fine. Make sure you really create a good seat for them so that their knees stay up though.

It's fine to wear a baby legs out from birth as long as the carrier doesn't push their legs too wide. The k'tan will not since you can bunch it up to fit her legs. As the pp said, just make sure you maintain a good knee to knee coverage with the knees a bit higher than her bum.
