Halloween!!!

Are you dressing up your little ones this year?  I can't wait, it is one of my favorite holidays!  My mom always used to sew or make our costumes growing up, so I want to carry on the tradition with my little guy.  

I can't decide what he'll be though, at first I thought Waldo would be cute, now I'm thinking a Teddy Bear since we call him Dekki-bear as a nick name. (His name's Declan).

Sorry for jumping the gun and posting this early, but we finally got a nice cool (cold in fact) day after an entire summer of stupidly hot weather and it got me thinking about the fall... my favorite season!

    I'm going to comment on here 'cause I don't feel like looking for the one below, even though I read it a few days ago :/  We are dressing DS up so we can go Trick-or-Treating with my 2 y.o. niece.  Haven't decided what to do though.  My mom made all our costumes as well, and it's way cheaper to do that so I plan on it as well.  Plus it's more original than all the other kids! I found a couple ideas on pinterest.

    I have these really happy memories of picking out costume patterns and materials with my mom and sister.  One year we were ewoks, another I was Princess Leia (sensing a theme here), and of course we were ghosts and witches.  Unfortunately I inherited none of my mom's crafty skills or patience with a sewing machine.

    oooooo I think I just found what we're going to do...cheap and easy!  I found an awesome little moose costume made out of a brown hoodie and stuffed tan gloves sewn on the hood.  So cute :)

    I'm too lazy to go to the other post. I can't wait to make her costume!!! She's gonna be tinkerbell, I'm going to be peter pan, DH will be Hook, my dad is gonna be Smee and my mom wants to be Nana or Wendy. Whooooooooo So excited! :D

    I wish I were crafty enough to make DD's costume. But she'll definitely be dressing up. Can't wait to pick something out :)
