I have been in love with our RNP since we bought it. DD sleeps in her crib now but we still use the RNP for naps on the weekend when we are too lazy to take her up to her nursery. However, it has now been replaced by a new favorite.
I will soon be flying 'home' for my niece's 1st birthday with just me and dd. I ordered an ergo because I couldn't come up with a good way to collapse and bag up the stroller and hold dd at the same time. We used it this weekend at a Blues and Brews event in our town. There was loudish live music and dd slept like a charm. It was super comfy and I never felt like her weight was awkward even though I was holding her on my chest for a good 3 hours while standing up. I'm crossing my fingers that she does that well on the plane.
What are you loving these days?
Re: My new favorite baby gear
When I tried one out at the boutique she turned her head straight for the straps. She can't really get them in her mouth yet but I went ahead and bought the teether pads to keep it cleanish. I love that I can just snap them off and throw them in the wash without having to wash the whole thing.

look it up on youtube. There are several videos on breastfeeding in an ergo there. I noticed them when I was trying to decide between the performance and the original.

I've nursed DS in the ergo a number of times. Even while walking home from the grocery store. I just push the waist band really low on my hips so it sinks him down, then loosen the strap on the side he's going to eat from and latch him on. Ofcoase you have to be prepared by wearing layers. I wear a nursing tank underneath a shirt. that way I lift the shirt up and it covers the top of my breast from being exposed. Then I usually have a blanket or just my hand covering the side which can also help support DS head. As he gets bigger it gets more complicated. He still nurses really well in the moby.
