Cups for Pre-Schoolers on the Go

DD is turning 3 soon and she still uses a style of sippy cup for the car and on the go. It's this one: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12546529. It's hard spout and you tilt back like a regular cup to drink.

We are on the go A LOT and she likes to have her drink with her. Mostly water or juice. What is the next step? I don't want to keep her on baby sippy style cups but I'm not sure what is age appropriate. What type of cup do you use for your pre-schooler? She also often would rather have them at home b/c I only allow water in "Big Girl" cups b/c we have too much carpet and I don't want to scrub it if there happens to be an accident.

We have the same cups. We'll leave the house with those cups and if DS wants to drink big boy style, I'll take off the top part and let him drink out of the bottom part like a cup. Then I'll put the top back on for spill proof transport.

We have the sports water bottle style cups for on the go. I also send them to school.

Thermos funtainer or whatever it is called with a straw. But at 3 I only make water on the go, my kids used to drink a lot of apple juice but I see no reason to have to drink it on the go since water is healthier. That way when I forget a cup in a hot car for days it does not get moldy. And drinking anything sugary through a straw is better for the teeth so that is a benefit if you put apple juice in it.

I got the Foogo stainless steel water bottle with silicon straw during a sale at BRU for both of my girls. They're easy to pop open and really do a great job of keeping cold water cold -- which, with as hot as it's been, has been a huge plus this summer.

I also use the Disney stainless steel water bottles, but they're not insulated like the Foogo.

We just use the Kleen Kanteen with the regular spout. They rarely take drinks on the go, but that is the only option in our home since we have no sippy cups.

I think I like this Foogo the best so far. Thanks everyone for your suggestions! I guess I have to stop giving juice on the go. I am also shocked that so many people don't give their kids travel cups. I always have water with me and it's so hot here lately we go through a ton of water (over 100 and in the upper 90's.)

We do big kid cups at home starting at two. They have to stay in the kitchen. Sigg water bottles when we are out.

We use the Thermos FUNtainer at home and on the go. They keep drinks cold for 12 hours and are easy to clean.

We've tried a bunch but our favorites by FAR are the Thermos Funtainers. It's a straw thermos that keeps drinks cold for up to 12 hrs. They're great. Even after several hours in a hot car their drinks are ice-cold!
