Ergos and Teething

I was fully intending on buying the teething pads for my Ergo...but now I wonder if they are worth it?

DS now has 4 teeth. He enjoys chewing on the Ergo straps...but I don't see it hurting the Ergo at all. AND when I went to order the teething pads they look so so thin?

This all being said I only use the Ergo once a week (for about an hour when I grocery shop). So it's not like it needs washed daily (then I would get the pads to wash just them).

Has anyone did fine without the teething pads?

Re: Ergos and Teething

  • We never had them and I never wished we did. I usually just handed her some other teething toy that I strapped to the ergo.

  • They are so you don't have to was the whole thing, washing it less frequently is best for it and it's resale value. I mad my own with scraps from burp cloths and they work fine.
