Pump question

My wonderful SIL gave me her pump.....I've been purchasing replacement parts but can't find replacement tubing anywhere.....is replacing this absolutely necessary?  Does anything pass through them except air?  If they DO NEED to be replaced do you have any suggestions as to where I can get them? It's a Mandela.  TIA!!

    You can use the old tubing. You can also order from Medela. If you do call them and ask for new tubing, don't tell them you are reusing a pump because they don't recommend doing that and they probably won't give it to you.

    Ask them for it at the hospital, they give it to you for "free." I ended up getting engorged at the hospital so the LC had me pump while she massaged my breasts to help, so I got to take home the whole kit. It has a bunch of bottles and nipples, tubing, and all the necessities. 

    I would also just reuse your sister's tubing, it would be nice to  have two sets. You can rinse or soak them in hot water, then hook them up to  your pump without anything else attached, and let the pump run for 5-10 minutes, it will suck all the moisture out (its what they had me do at the hospital).
