My ILs are planning to get DD a sandbox for her birthday. We were looking at these two (links below) as possibilities. I'm not necessarily sold on either of them, and open to other suggestions as well. Does anyone (a) already have either of these and have any pros/cons to share, or (b) recommend any other sandbox? It doesn't have to be from TRU, this was just where we started looking online. TIA!

I like the first one because of the cute little umbrella and sitting area. Adorable!
We actually have a sand/water table instead. Here is what we have:

I LOVE the shady oasis sand and water table! But my mom already bought just a water table (my fault entirely, I told her to pick whatever one she liked best), so my ILs are complimenting their gift with a sandbox. I also really like the cute sitting area, we could sit and have a little snack when she's done in the sand

That is AWESOME! MIL put me in charge of researching whatever sandbox we wanted (within reason, of course) and I had no idea that there were so many cool, albeit expensive, options out there!

Now back to the original question - I think the umbrella is cute, but I doubt it'll actually be all that practical. I personally like wood better than plastic, so I would go with the cedar one. But then again, my friend had a plastic sandbox and converted it into a kiddie pool when it got hot, so you might get more out of the Step 2 one.
