Oh, how I would love this. I can't wait!!!
Seriously, his kisses are my most favorite thing ever. He opens up so wide, and comes right for the mouth! One morning, the 3 of us were laying in bed, and DS leaned over to DH and kissed him on his nose twice. It was the sweetest thing.
HA! I was just about to ask if DS is on target. He was 6 weeks early so I can't figure out if I should be expecting 9 month milestones or 7 month milestones or both or what. Here's what he can do.
-sits without support (can't get to a sitting position on his own yet)
-tummy crawls and will get on his hands and knees if I help him.
-bears weight on legs when standing, he can stand holding on to something for maybe 1/2 a second.
-picks up small objects with pincer
-feeds self puffs and small finger foods
-reaches for toys/people
-recognizes his own name
-gives kisses (this is hit or miss still)
-clap (he just started doing that today)
-likes to have songs sung to him, especially ones with finger movements
-loves, loves, loves to hold books and look at them, does not care about reading them or turning pages.
-rolls allllllllll over the place
Does this sound on track? Anyone else with a preemie and insight re: milestones?

They are the best! LO is a joker so sometimes he goes after your nose. He loves giving kisses though.
My son is 9 months today, and I feel like he's a little behind, but not so much that I'm especially concerned. He:
-picks up toys with pincer grasp
-rolls, pivots, and scooches
-recognizes his name, and our dog's name
-chatters like made, and has made some pretty coincidental babbling noises that were a whole lot like meaningful words, but hasn't repeated, so I'm not assuming they were
-sits by himself without support
-rarely, but once in a blue moon gives kisses
-waves hi and bye-bye
-reaches to be picked up
He's super observant, and likes to just hold things and turn them every which way figuring them out. He didn't hold his bottle for ages, because he wanted to stare at his hand like he was on drugs while he ate. I think he's more an observer than a doer.
