Well me and my DH (Honey is a FTM Transgender) met online when I was doing some support work for GLBT community, and I came to visit him in Seattle and instantly connected. I always wanted to live somewhere besides the south (from Alabama) and Seattle was so amazing to me. I visited about a week a month for almost a year, when we started talking about one of us moving because distance was irritating at times. I got accepted into a college here and moved, been here feels like my whole life. DH is and has been since day 1 my best friend, the only person I can deal with 24/7. I got seriously lucky to find someone who has the same goals as I do.
TTC With PCOS
Me: Witty Comical Southern Girly,Relocated To Wonderful Seattle.
DH: Charming Introvert, Perfect father material.
9/5 First Re Appointment: Good to go on next cycle!
Waiting October IUI, Wish me luck!
Causes I support: GLBT Rights, Children Rights, Animal rights.
Most favorite thing would be the open mindedness. DH is a teacher, for preschool level kids. One day I was being nosey and asked how they explain marriage to the kids, then I heard one of the little girls say "Marriage can be between two girls, or two boys, or a girl and a boy..." and she went on for 5 minutes about how people can marry who they love. I was stunned, coming from Alabama where people kinda shunned that type of thinking made me shocked. From that point on, I knew I wanted to raise my kids here. And snow, never saw snow before I moved here.
Least favorite is Parking. In Alabama parking is free, big open spaces everywhere. I had never dealt with paying to park, or anything along those lines. I hate the Parking Authority.
Alabama
Most favorite is my family. I have over 200 cousins, and we were all very close. All went to school together, were at each others birthdays and every moment of importance we were all together. Kinda miss them more than anything else.
Least favorite was the close mindedness. I hated having to explain to people why we should love people for who they are. Seriously caused me to avoid some people, and kinda pushed me to move. I want to be in a place where peace and togetherness is valued.

I think I have peoples' stories right enough in my mind to ask a few questions ...
What are you most freaked out about in the TTC process?
What are you the most excited about?
What do you think the biggest adjustment will be for you if/when you are pregnant?
Married to my amazing wife 6/12/10 TTC since 6/11 Unmedicated IUI #1 - 6/28/11 - BFN Unmedicated IUI #2 - 7/25/11 - BFN Robotic Myomectomy (Fibroid Surgery) - 11/15/11 Unmedicated IUI #3 - 4/24/12 - BFN Progesterone Supported Leuteal Phase IUI #4 - 6/21/12 - BFP!! Baby Boy G Born 3/24/13
On to #2, are we crazy? IUI #1 - 11/28/14 - BFP! Beta #1 (11DPO) 34, Beta #2 (13DPO) 101, Beta #3 (20DPO) 3043 Ultrasound at 6w4d shows a single, fluttering heartbeat. Say hello to Sticky Ricki!
Most freaked out about the idea of it being a failure. Not having kids is my biggest fear, hopefully I wont come close to that moment.
Most excited about planning for the baby. We started looking around BabysRus and such planning out how we would do things.
The biggest adjustment is going to be timing. I'm kinda used to doing things on my own time, in my own way. Not used to submitting to a schedule I don't make or approve. The whole getting up at night to feed is going to be a struggle for me at first.

Haven't been to the original starbucks, but I go pretty often. I actually don't like coffee, but I seriously love their hot chocolate. DH is a coffee drinker.

My wife lived in Seattle for a bit during the late 80s/early 90s and when she heard about Starbucks going public she called her sister and told her to invest because it was the best hot chocolate ever (she doesn't drink coffee either). lol! K was broke but her sister had $. Well the sister's husband said K was on crack and didn't make the investment. K still gives him a hard time about not believing her.
