Coming out of lurkedom

Hi ladies... I've been lurking for several weeks and decided I should probably introduce myself. I had my little girl on June 13th. I normally post on my local board but several of your posts here have been relevant to my life right now. I'm about to have my gall bladder removed this Friday. Its reassuring to know I'm not the only mom that has had this issue.

Oh no you definitely not! Good Luck with your surgery! I actually just got back from my 1 week post op appointment...my little boy is a big boy for his age... (at his 2 mth check up he 24.5 inches long & 15 lbs already...but he comes from a long of big men in both our family..his daddy & papaw are both 6'4) & the surgeon said nothing heavier than 10lbs...well that meant he could only be sit in my lap & I'll be honest it was really really hard I cried cause you can't lift him or "properly" soothe him I always had to hand him to somebody else cause he was crying & wanted to be burped or walked around or whatever & all I could do was sit there with him..& I pulled stitches so I've delayed my healing process...just listen to your surgeon about the weight I had surgery on a Tuesday & by late Monday more like tuesday I was able to gently pick him up you just gotta be careful & gentle with him & listen to your body when you do! & now since I'm still healing I can now pick him up I just gotta be gentle. Good Luck & trust me you'll feel SOOOO much better once its out...don't realize how much pain that pesky galbladder can cause you!
