Ikea cribs?

Are these cribs a standard size? Will they fit regular crib sheets? I love the price, but I'd hate to be surprised by a non-standard size!

Re: Ikea cribs?

  • Check Ikea's website for the dimensions of their cribs. We were just there a few weeks ago and they LOOKED standard size.

  • I just checked the dimensions for an Ikea crib mattress vs a Serta standard crib mattress and they're the same, with the exception being that the Ikea mattress isn't as thick. I think I'd go with a different mattress, but otherwise it looks like it checks out! hooray!

  • We have the Sundviks (I think that's the name, anyway). Bought them in April. We bought organic mattresses at Costco and have crib sheets from all over (mostly gifts), and everything fits.

  • I have IKEA cribs and Serta mattresses and standard sheets, and everything fits just perfectly fine.  I have the Hensvik cribs and they are really sturdy.

  • I have the Gullivers, and they are standard. And SUPER easy to assemble!!! It took DH 15 minutes to put them together.

  • I have IKEA cribs but non IKEA mattresses with standard crib sheets.  Everything fits well.
  • I wish we could've gotten Ikea cribs! I've heard good things about them and LOVE the price but at the time the closest Ikea was 4 hrs away (and shipping would've cost more than the cribs!). We do have Ikea crib mattresses and I wanted to love them but don't. The cover is a total pain to zip and unzip; I miss our old crib mattresses, which could just be wiped clean rather than needing to be throwin in the wash.

THIS.  We have a Gulliver and some standard mattress. DO NOT buy the IKEA Mattress!1  They're soft.  LO is still using it and we will have to buy another for the twins!  LOVE it!

We have Gulliver cribs too with Colgate Classica mattresses and a random assortment of crib sheets (including the ultimate crib sheets).

  • We have the Sundvik cribs and Ikea mattresses. They are the blue ones...not sure what they are called. I have standard mattress protectors on them and they fit fine. I have one set of sheets that is a tiny bit big, but they are easy to tuck under to get tight. Other sheets fit fine.

ETA: This is the mattress we have
