I'm just over 9 weeks pregnant, and my SS (who is 4) knows I'm pregnant (assuming BM told him, DH and I hadn't told him). Anywho. A week ago SS and I took a walk. When we stopped to cross the road, he looks at my belly and goes "woah your belly's gettin' super big". I laughed it off, and stepped on the scale instantly when I got home (no gain

) Then the other day, we were in the car, talking about the baby. First he informed me that he was a boy, therefore I had to have a baby brother in my belly so he could tackle it..little boy logic. Then he decided that there needed to be THREE baby brothers in my belly! Good gosh I hope he didn't jinx us! I can handle one, even two..but three oh boy! Anyone else have little one's with a wonderful baby imagination?
Re: SS has a wonderful baby imagination!
Haha cute. (Btw, I'd be annoyed that BM told SS instead of letting you and your H!)
Last night DS said he thinks the baby in my belly is a sister, and that if she wants to play baby dolls that he'll play with her. Part of me thought it was so sweet, but then I had that mom moment where I didn't want my boy playing with girl toys!
Not all moms have that moment. I never minded my sons playing with "girl" toys. They're just toys. It's so sweet that he would want to play with his sister.
OP, I think it's great that he sounds so excited about his brother or sister.
I wasn't meaning all moms have that moment. He's actually getting a play kitchen from me & DH for his bday or Christmas. A good friend of mine has a little girl his age who has only girl toys, and DS plays there just fine & I don't mind. And he's in gymnastics. I don't mind, I just had a "moment." Wasn't aware I needed to defend myself...
My 15 year old and 11 year old SS's said they will play tea party with their little sister because they do not want her to be a tomboy lol
Oh I was beyond annoyed. BM shared words over that one!
My 2 year old niece and SS spend a lot of time together and it's always a battle over her toys but that's mainly because he hides his trucks cause he doesn't want her to play with them haha. I think all mothers have that moment at least once.
My only worry is how he's going to react if it's a girl and not a boy. But I guess only time will tell!
Hahahahaha that's awesome!

I didn't think my comment would make you fell that you had to defend yourself. I just wouldn't have called that a mom moment. Also, I really think it's sweet how little kids get themselves ready for a new sibling and their thoughts on their new little brother or sister.
I told my 6YO nephew he was getting old. His answer was:
"Im not getting old. Id have to be, like, 19 or something... Like Meme're."
Later the same day, I asked him if he new what the cemetary was called as we drove by one. He said:
"Its a graveyard. Hey Auntie, did you know that when you die you dont really die?"
"Yes, I do. Do you know where you go?"
"Um..... College??"
