does LO's mattress have an indent from where she sleeps?

so...we first had a serta dream mattress that we bought a BRU....it wasn't the cheapest..but not the most expensive..and it had springs....well we ended up taking it back after 3 weeks with our newborn..because it started to get an indent from where she sleeps...from day 1!  We bought a different one that is foam and now I'm noticing the same thing happening...is this a normal thing with infant mattresses?  the new one we bought has the other side for when the baby is a toddler...anyone else experiencing this indenting of mattresses?  our Lo is now almost 10 lbs..was only 7 lbs when we brought her home...i just feel like a baby that small shouldn't make an indent???

    No.  That doesnt sound right either.  My 45 pound 4 year old is still using his mattress in his toddler bed and it doesnt have an indent either.  None of the kids mattresses do.

    I agree with the PP my toddler still uses hers with no idents or issues.

    we just noticed this happening in our 3 week olds crib, not sure why!

    I noticed this happening in the PNP, it is still up as a bassinet.  It went through 2 kids before DD so I figured it was b/c it was used.

    My /Chart; BFP 3/8/11 CP 3/16/11; 7/11 HSG & S/A both clear;
    Cycle 12~ 50 mg Clomid=BFP 9/9/11, Beta #1=280 & Beta #2=1513, 6w3d hb=122 bpm/ 8w2d hb=186 bpm/12w2d could not hear hb had a 3rd u/s and got to see the hb. 16w2d heard the hb! 156 bpm. A/S 1/3=girl

    Ours has an indent, too and out LO is 10 weeks old. Not sure what the deal is. We paid a lot for the mattress.
