I had my c-section on August 2nd, and wasn't able to sleep in our bed until two nights ago. It was way too difficult to get up, so I just slept in the recliner on the couch.
Don't be so hard on yourself
Even a clock that isn't working is right twice a day
I had my c-section August 4th. Really it was the worst in the hospital but as uncomfortable as I was, I still slept really well.
The first 2-3 nights at home were rough. I still used my bumbo(?) pillow and wedge, slept on my left side and used a pillow under my feet for swelling. After that though, I was pretty comfortable. I sleep well now. If you have your pregnancy pillow(s) I recommend using them.
I slept in bed immediately, but I still used the pregnancy pillow and extra pillows. Getting up was the worst!
This for me too.

This for me too. I couldn't get comfortable in the hospital bed though. I slept in the recliner for the entire hospital stay (after such a horrible first night of sleep).

I slept in our bed right away. The first time LO cried, I almost cried. I didn't realize it was going to be SO hard to get out of bed! I felt like the kid in The Christmas Story that couldn't put his arms down and fell in the snow and couldn't get up.
After the first night I figured out how to get out of bed. Our headboard is a bookshelf. I was able to scootch back towards it, put one hand on top of the shelf and push myself up into sitting position.
