Hi all! Today I went to a baby expo and many groups and service providers were there, including the Doula Association of Central Oklahoma. We are planning a hospital birth, but I am thinking about including a doula. Has anyone used a OKC based doula that they could recommend? Was having a doula at your delivery beneficial in your opinion?
Thanks!
Re: Anyone using a doula in the metro OKC area?
Yes! I'm involved with the Oklahoma Birth Network and I know many amazing doulas, including the one I used for my son's VBAC birth last August. Her name is Brandy Harris, Willow Doula Services. https://www.willowdoula.com/index.htm I'm convinced I would have had another c/s if it weren't for her. In fact, I think she was at that event you're talking about.
If you need help finding a doula, I'd love to help! You can e-mail me (because I rarely check these boards) tavia dot redburn at me dot com.
