Well I got a call from the doctor's office tonight just before 5pm. I had been waiting to hear from them all day! Anyway I am in complete shock, in a great way! I was already placed in the high risk category just based on my age alone (I'm 36 & will be 37 when I have the baby), so I was really nervous about what the full results would be. Orignially I was told my risk was 1/610 for Trisomy 18....that fell dramatically to <1/10,000! OMG wow...unbelievable!!! As for downs syndrome, my orignal risk was 1/120 (pretty scary to me)....now with the full results that dropped to 1/890!! Far better than I could have hoped for!! Now I am offically out of the high risk category for chromosomal abnormalities, and I want to celebrate!!! I feel like I can really start to enjoy my pregnancy now....I am beyond thankful. Just wanted to share another great success story...I love reading all of the great results from everyone and now I'm so happy to join in the celebration!!! :-)
