We are working on names for #2. I know that this is more suitable for the Baby Names board or Jauary 2013 board, but I love you guys the best. Do you want to share your opinions just for the heck of it? We are not completely committed to these as the top two, but I think that they are our biggest contenders for now. There is still plenty of time to decide. Feel free to be as honest as you want!
And just to add, neither name is popular in my area. The only Caleb I have met is my age, and I have never met a Cole. I asked my local elementary school teacher friend, and she said that in 5 years she had one Caleb and no Coles.

Re: Name poll (just because July 2011 will always be my fave board)
The "less common" names are always that way until you name your child or do meet one with that name. Its kinda like a car - you never pay attention to a certain kind of car, but until you consider that car for yourself, you see them ALL.OVER.THE.PLACE!
My cousins son is Caleb, but she spells it Kalob (not a fan personally of the spelling) and Mike's cousin's son is Cole (same age as Timmy)
I think I like Cole better not sure. I like both though.
I like them both. Good solid picks.
I like the way Caleb and Mason flows though. Not that that's a big deal.
I also feel like Cole is a bit too nick-namey for me, but I tend to prefer more solid full names on boys.
Caleb is my fave for no real reason.
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)

I agree with dairy, I like both names but I feel like Caleb just goes a little better with Mason.
Either one would be good though.

I really really dislike the name Caleb, plus one of it's meanings are 'dog' which I just think makes it even worse.
I love the name Cole tho and think it sounds the best with Mason.
Both are good.
I think I may prefer Caleb over Cole. Not because I don't like the name Cole, but I too, like OP said, think Cole sounds more of a nick name to me? But like I said both are cute names.
Of the two, I prefer Cole. However, it's so played out here in Philadelphia thanks to a certain pitcher. Did you put the names in Nymbler to see what else it generates for you?
