I have never attended one,but it seems like something very common.I see one almost everytime I go to the mall. What are your thoughts?Would you have a party at the mall?
I've seen the Build-A-Bear at Florida Mall hosting them before. I like the idea of the kids all building bears, which is cute, but I'm not sure I like the way they set up tables and chairs in the common area of the mall. Seems like it would be too easy to lose a kid in that setting, KWIM?
I've never seen such a thing. I can't imagine I'd be a fan as it doesn't seem very private or interesting....unless they come with like a $500 shopping pass, in that case I'd be very interested : )

I saw one the other day there too. They all had a build-a-bear and were having ChickFilA (what we were doing too!) for lunch and had cake for after food. There were a couple of balloons as decorations. Our mall also has a carousel and a pretty nice indoor playground, so it sounds like a pretty good deal to me. Minimal clean up and they get a bear...
I've only ever seen them at build-a-bear, not actually in the mall. The BAB in the big mall by where I used to live had a cake room in the back (maybe they all do?) I like the BAB idea, but If there were no cake room, I don't know how it would work.
The Build A Bear thing sounds fun so we'd go to that one, but there's not one near us actually. If you didn't do that though, what would you do?? Walk around the mall with LOs in strollers? J/k but seriously I don't know what there would be to do, at least at ours. I had my party at the mall once but I was 13 and we just shopped and then went home for a slumber party.
Today I saw a party being held in the food court at the mall I was at. They got some Chick-fila, tied some balloons around some chairs & called it a party. It was no where near the Build A Bear store so I was left guessing what activities they had planned for the kids.
Its just not something I would feel comfortable doing.I like a little privacy.

That sounds a little bit weird and nms. However, I would consider having a birthday party at one of our public parks, which, when you get down to it, isn't really all that different.

Other than that, I'm not sure. Never been to one.
