  They run specials on Facebook where you can get a year for $20. That's when I bought it. Iposted this question a few months ago on TTGP and the general consensus was when it's cheap, buy it, otherwise don't. I personally find that I obsess too much about the pregnancy signs and the points it gives you afterwards, but I bought a year, so I've got about 10 months left.

  I have personally never paid for the VIP membership. I had it for the first month free and randomly get 5 day trials. While I like all the options it includes I just can't justify spending the money on it. I am TTA right now so it seems pointless to have the VIP membership but I also won't be purchasing it once we're TTC. For me, I could find better ways to spend that money, especially since it's not going to help me get pg. The basic works fine.

  I'm only in my 2nd month charting temps and using FF but I"m totally ok with the plain jane vanilla version.  It gives me what I need and that's ok with me.  I'd rather spend the money on things to pee on   Since I seem to have a POAS addiction.

  thanks! I really didnt want to spend the money on the VIP as fall semester is going to drain my pocketbook. I'm just going to stick with the basic membership. thanks again for the opinions! here's some yummy oatmeal raisin cookies for helping!

  Diagnosed w/ endometriosis 12/2010 Laproscopic surgery & 6 months of Lupron
  BFP 12/17/2011,EDD 8/23/12,ectopic discovered 12/29/11 at 6 weeks recieved methotrexate
  Dec '12 HSG & ultrasound showed abnormalities & more endo. Laproscopic surgery in January '13 showed significant damage & scar tissue from Endo. IVF is our best shot to concieve our rainbow.

  I've never had the VIP other than the first month or whatever you get free, and some random free days here and there. It certainly is nice, but not worth the $$ IMO since, like you said, it won't help you get pregnant.

  I have the VIP because I bought it when it was cheap. No it won't help me get pg but I am OBSESSIVE and really trying to track every possible thing. In retrospect it probably wasn't the best thing for me, but I heard so many people on this board recommending it when it was cheap so I splurged!

  I had VIP for a year. It didn't get me KU any faster so I won't be shelling out the money for it again.

  I went with the VIP mainly because I thought it was limiting not being able to see the specification charted, which annoyed me after being able to see them that first trial month. I also really like the chart overlay feature and my first few cycles would obsessively compare my charts to all the submitted ones.  I like stalking other VIP members more because I can see there trends better than just the current and past cycle.
  

  I waited for a facebook promo, it's been "worth" the $25 as a learning tool

  I have the VIP membership for this reason. DH wanted me to get it, actually, so that we could track everything and I wasn't left second-guessing all the time. I'm glad I have it, but there are still some features that I don't use.

  I avoid getting it only because of how obsessive I can get with it. 

  The info I have is more then sufficient for me with the basic membership.

  I have thought about getting it but keep feeling like I'm going to get pregnant "this cycle" and don't want to waste the money! Maybe I should buy it though. Doesn't it always seem to work out that way?

  I'm glad you asked this question! I have been wondering if it's worth it.
