PSA for those with a baby under 1

I'm not sure if this has ever been posted before or not, but Women's Hospital has an amazing support group that's free and open to the public.  They meet once a week on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. for an hour and a half (although people are always coming in late or leaving early) for anyone with a baby under a year - you don't have to have delivered there to be able to come.

Robin and I have been going for a few weeks now and it has been so, so good for both of us and for the babies.  Sometimes the topics are great and sometimes not so much - but it's always worth going even if the only reason is because it gets you out of the house.  And it's totally stress and guilt free - no one cares if your baby screams the whole time or you have to change a diaper or anything like that.

So come and join us :)

  • Yes - it is fabulous!  And parking is free.  It really has become a lifesaver for me b/c if nothing else I know I am getting out of the house on Thursday and will be able to talk to other adults who understand what I am going through and no one bats an eye over crying, diaper changes or having to whip out the bottle or boob.

  • Thanks for posting this.  I meant to ask if it was free a few weeks ago when you mentuioned it.

Are you going on Thursday?  I may join you both.

  • I went a couple times but haven't been recently.  I guess it depends on how DS slept the night before.  I should try to go more often as I did enjoy it.
  • We loved it...but unfortunately I'm back at work now so can't go anymore :(!!
