L&D trip #3

Back to L&D for the 3rd time in 4 days. Procardia dosage increase has not helped my contractions. My doctor says they might hospitalize me. :(

    Geez that stinks! Hope that they are able to get you straightened out soon, and that if you do have to be hospitalized, it isn't for long. Good luck!

    How much procardia are you or were you on?  I was put on for every 6 hours.  I initially only took every 12 hours.  When that land me in L& D I increase to 3 times a day.  So far that dose is working for me.  My doctor said I can increase to 6 times a day if I feel like I need to.

    I hope they can get it under control. I spent 7 weeks hospitalized on various medications and dosages. When I was released at 29w I had to take terbutaline and procardia every 4 hours around the clock. Kept it up till 36w0d when I delivered!
    After 20 months TTC with PCOS, we were blessed with twins!
    They arrived at 36 weeks after PTL and bedrest for 14 weeks. Lilypie Third Birthday tickers image

    Right now I am on every 12. They hospitalized me because the contractions were getting stronger and I wasn't responding at all to procardia. I think tomorrow we are going to discuss  increasing again.

    Oh geez, I hated terbutaline so I am hoping they increase my procardia and it helps! Your situation is very comforting to hear though. I feel like a train wreck right now!

    I'm responding better to the procardia today, but it does seem that they will increase to at least 3x daily.  Thank you!
