You can try taking his temperature and see if that helps. Also, some dr. say an oz of prune juice is ok but I would check with your pedi before offering it.

Our pedi okayed the clear karo syrup. one teaspoon. Man, his farts were so nasty and then a day later it was poop city in his diaper. You could also mix it with an oz or so of water and give it to them in a bottle.
Warm water might relax your LO a bit--maybe try a bath? When L was dehydrated as a newbie his doctor told us to take a wipe and kind of push (gently) against his booty hole to try to stimulate a bowel movement. I would try these before resorting to anything else--my pedi also told us to use Babylax but I would check with your pedi before giving this (it's over the counter so should be NBD).
I've also found that days where we give him gas drops he poops more often.
YouTube colic massage, they always helped with bm's for us. Also I lift ds's legs in the air until his butt is off the ground and then push his knees into his stomach for a count of 10, relax and repeat. I found this move to be the very best for us.
I would say not to be overly concerned over not having a BM within 24 hours. Gabe has issues with this. The doc said she's not worried unless it's 5+ days without a BM.
Usually after it's been a couple days, if he feels uncomfortable we do 1oz prune juice with 1 oz formula/breastmilk or sometimes even just do the 1oz prune juice straight per his pedi.
The other suggestions with warm water and such by pp are good ideas.

Our ped ok'd prune or pear juice but specifically told us NOT to dilute it. DD got an ounce of pear juice yesterday and I think that was the strongest latch I think she's ever had on a bottle. She LOVED it lol. He also said miralax was ok but I'm not ok with giving that to her.

No poop in 24 hours is not a big deal. I have a friend with a baby the same age as ours and her baby poops once a week and her pedi says its fine.

This thread makes me laugh. Never, ever, did I think I would be so consumed by poop. lol.
dd is a bad pooper, so I'll be trying a lot of these suggestions.
