Apparently they are having problems with listeria on the sliced apples at McD's. Here's a link to the article. In the article, it also has info for the manufacturer's site & all the recalled items.

Oh, FML. I traveled with Charlie and my nephew this weekend and ate ALL of their apple slices (they didn't want them) when we stopped for McDonald's twice over the whole trip. We threw out the packages, so I have no idea. Fabulous.

I found this too, it says incubation period is 3-70 days. I'm not sure if that is on the food, or the person. Trying to find out real info on this is difficult.

If I'm avoiding my beloved lunch meat and end up getting listeria from freaking apples, I'm going to be pissed.

Right! I don't avoid sushi either. Embarrassed

I do try to limit my pre-done things, like salads etc. & wash fruits/veggies though. I mean, a girl has to have some standards.

Yay. OSC, I'm the same boat. We had them yesterday. Nate ate half of them and I ate the other half. Also pregnant and avoiding all sorts of other items because of listeria. Yippee. Fingers crossed we don't both get sick.

Lame!! We always get the apple slices too and now those aren't safe either? We haven had them this week but we did last week.... Guess I will find out in a few weeks if #2 comes out with an extra head. Grrr! Now I want my sub sandwich with a side of sushi as well.

I've lost 20 lbs this pregnancy! Surely it's over soon? I've got the 2nd trimester headaches this week + the first trimester sickness! I wasn't really ever sick with Nate, so I guess this makes up for that. I told DH there is no way we are ever having a 3rd kid - I'm too old and tired for this stuff!
