Goodbye symptoms!

I am 10w 2d and I think I am reaching that point when my symptoms are starting to get a lot less severe.  It's wonderful to not be feeling sick every day, but it is hard not to worry at the same time!  My husband and I made our announcement "Facebook official" on Saturday, at 10w, so now a lot of people at work know.  Everyone was congratulating me today, but I couldn't help but worry that maybe I told too early because I am starting to feel normal again!

I heard the heartbeat less than a week ago at the doc and he said everything looked great and that we could share the news because he was confident that the chance of anything bad happening is very low.  It's just always in the back of your mind, I guess.  Anyone else with a lack of symptoms now?  How are you managing to reassure yourself that everything is okay?  I don't go back to the doctor until Sept. 10, and I think I will be driving myself crazy second guessing everything until then!

Re: Goodbye symptoms!

  • The other day I almost panicked because I thought my boobs shrunk... (I know sounds silly, but it happened with my m/c last time so all I do is assess my boobs....). I still have the m/s off an on and my boobs are very sore plus the areola is getting bigger and darker, so I keep saying these are positive things and should mean everything is ok. I'm still a nervous wreck, but tell my self that stress won't help either way. So I just try to stay positive and think good thoughts. My first appointment is in 2 days so I'm holding on to that... also I POAS again today Embarrassed couldn't help myself....

  • You're right, the stress won't help either way.  I need to make this my mantra! :). Thanks!

  • Me too! Feeling so much better and I know that at 10-11 weeks they can start to get better. Can't wait for the 2nd tri!
  • This is my first pregnancy so I don't know whats normal! I have been so much less exhausted over the last 5 days or so... I also have been trying not to let it freak me out b/c all the other 'symptoms' and still there. My boobs just keep growing and I was a DDD to begin with. And so veiney! I have an appointment on Thurs. First one in a month and am very anxious and trying to think good thoughts and say lots of prayers. Thanks for this post!

  • I'm 11 weeks, as of yesterday, and my symptoms began decreasing last week as well.  Some days I don't have much queasiness at all, and others it hits in the mid-afternoon/evening, but it's not as horrible as it was before.  Way more managable.  Yesterday was the first time that the smell of coffee smelled good to me.  My boobs are not real sore any more either.  I think it's just a sign of 2nd trimester is coming.  I have my 2nd appointment next Monday.  Hopefully all is still great! :-)

Every once in a while I feel the ligaments pull in the pelvic area, and this morning I could feel my lower abdomen feeling harder (maybe my bump is coming soon!).  This bloating is awful though....it makes me look so much further along than I am.  Ugh!

  • Today was my first ultrasound and I was feeling so great today, no nausea or anything so I actually was concerned and thinking maybe something went wrong that I wasn't feeling nauseated. Ultrasound was great and I was told I am 10 weeks 2 days as well so we have the same due date, OP:)  I'm hoping that today's energy and no nausea continues!!!
  • I got cocky last night and slept without a bra.  MISTAKE.  Even the seat belt hurt my boobs today :(

  • I've started to feel better as well. I'm not worried as I still have sore boobs and random abdominal pain (feels like it's stretching...not cramping). Also, I now know that worrying won't help anything so I'm learning not to worry. Enjoy having less symptoms!

  • You and I are at the same point. Are you due March 9th? My symptoms started to get better this week also. I didn't really have any morning sickness, but my energy and overall mood has definitely improved. My doctor told me last week that after you hear the heartbeat the chances of a m/c are less than 1%. I just have to trust in that and believe that everything is ok. :-) Sometimes it's strange b/c you don't really feel preggo, but I'm sure it will get better. :-) Good luck!
