Let's say for funsies that "a friend" *cough* took a cheapie PG test and *thinks* she sees a line. She leaves pee in cup and about 3 hours later dips it in a FRER. FRER is negative.

Should she have used fresh urine?

Note - urine taken was not FMU

Thoughts?

I would retest with FMU. But for future reference, if you want to save you urine for later testing, refrigerate it. I know I read that on some HPT instructions, but I am not sure how long it will be good for testing.

All I can say is you better have your own damn fridge, that's just gross. Just pee on another one tomorrow. OP-just ask the question, don't say it's for a friend when it's really you.

Oh I forgot, get rid of the pee once you're done dipping the test. Who wants old pee in a cup sitting around, FFS.

I was just coming back to this thread to check if you have kids already. I'm actually surprised that after going through childbirth and a kid, something like sterile pee in the fridge (where you probably store raw meat) grosses you out so much.

Storing pee in your fridge is not normal. Should you need to collect a sample for your physician for whatever reason, okay - but not so you can re-test your urine for HPT's

TTCAE- your therapist told you to take a Bump break and you coincidentally come back around the time that pee storing is mentioned. Not that I'm saying OP is the pee-storer but there is something highly convenient about the timing of the end of your 'break'.
