Julia came home today!!

After a 6 week NICU stay, our little girl is home!  trying not to freak out about her not being on the monitors (although we have the angel care and snuza at home ;)! Also trying not to freak out when she has a slow feeding. She's now 5 pounds 3 ounces and 18 inches (2 pounds 13 oz and 16 inches at birth). What a journey baby #2 has been!
DD#1, Alexa, Born 8/08; TTC # 2 since 3/2010; 8 IUI BFN; 1 cervical pregnancy in April 2011; IVF #1 Dec 2011 worked. EDD = 9/7/12. Bedrest starting 6/4/12. Julia Mae born 7/1/12, home 8/12/12. Lilypie Premature Baby tickers

    Congrats! And try not to worry, enjoy every minute!! Although I must admit dd has been home for 3 months now and I still get a little worried if she doesn't finish a bottle! It's hard to break that NICU frame of mind!! But she is doing great snd so will your LO! Sounds like you already have a LO at home so you will do great!

    Congrats!!!! I am so looking forward to that day!!! I can see how being off the monitors would be scary!! I think the nicu should wean parents off those monitors a few days before going home ;) I'm sure I'll be the same way when my little guy comes home

    Congratulations.  My Lila is also home after 6 1/2 weeks in the NICU and a very slow feeder. Yes, it is quite a journey.
    TTC since 3-08 IVF # 1 Dec 2011 BFP DD born at 31 weeks 6-24-12

    FET #1 Dec 2013 BFN

    FET # 2 Feb 2014 BFN

    No more frosties

    IVF #2. September 2014

    PGD yielded 2 perfect 5d blasts

    SET November 9, 2014
    Nov 23, 2014. Another BFN

    Not sure where to go from here.

    So happy for you!! There is nothing like that first time you hold them sitting on your couch or rocker. We have the angel care too and luckily has only gone off twice and LO will be a year on Friday it gave me such peice of mind!

    Congrats on bringing her home today! I was a nervous wreck when I brought Colt home. I noticed when I fed him, I would stare up at the wall, at the height the monitors were at.. that took alot of getting used to. He sleeps in a bassinett next to me, and I still get up and feed every 3 to 4 hours and to check on him! Good luck & congrats again!
    My little pumpkin was born at 34weeks, weighing 3lbs, due to severe IUGR & Unexplained Placental Insufficiency. He spent 49 days in the NICU. Lilypie Premature Baby tickers imageimageimageimageimageimage
