SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!!

I just got back from the doctors! I had an appointment on Friday where my bp was 158/96 and they didn't like that at all, it had been 152/91 the week before, which they also didn't like, so they had me come in again today. It was still up, 152/94 but there haven't really been any other indicators of pre-eclampsia and my little girl doesn't seem to be bothered by my blood pressure so they let me go home and I just have to go back again on Friday!

I was sooo worried that they were going to want to induce me. I just want to keep this little girl cooking as long as I can and I'm glad they agree!! Bed rest for me and I couldn't be happier to oblige the requests. Cook baby cook! If I get to 38 weeks my next goal is 39 weeks so long as they let me! YAY! Today is not my baby day!!

That is fantastic news!  And makes me even more confused why my OB is trying to induce me for having bp that was 130's/90 for 2 hours before it went back down to normal!

I hope you and LO stay healthy and she comes on her own time :-)

That sounds very strange to me too!! I would definitely be confused. As long as it stays in normal and you don't have any pre-e symptoms I have no idea why!? I hope you get to let your LO come out on her own time too!!

  • awesome!

Do you have any way to monitor your bp at home? Maybe you have a bit of white coat syndrome?

My midwife asked me to monitor mine at home when I had a bp scare, and it was completely normal at home!

I don't have a cuff at home but I'm pretty sure it's been staying high since I have the same shaky/heart-pounding-in-ears feeling at home and dizziness when I move too fast. It's been going up up up my whole pregnancy though. DH thinks its because I'm extra stressed with him being deployed that and my mom developed high bp when she was pregnant with me too so it seems to be genetic.

Regardless, I will stay as calm as I possibly can! :)
