What does your daily feeding schedule consist of for a 10 month old?
Mine takes a bottle at 6:30, 11, 3:30, & 7 but I'm thinking about cutting it to 3 bottles if I can. I give her solids around 8:15 am and around 5 pm. I'm wondering if I should cut a bottle and add a 3rd solids feeding?
I plan to cut out the 9:00 nursing session in the morning and add a sippy of BM next week. I need to start weaning because I go back to work on Sept 1st and don't want to have to pump.
LO still wakes once a night to eat...around 3:30 or so.
7:00am - breakfast (this morning was half a mango and a quarter of a wafffle and some bites of my oatmeal he was begging for)
8:00am - nurse
8:30-5:30 - he's at daycare, so I don't know the exact times, but he has 3-4 bottles and lunch. Today he has chicken with rice and peas, some grape tomatoes, and some blueberries.
5:30 - nurse
6:30 - dinner. Tonight he'll have a black bean tostada
8:00 - 2 T oatmeal made with juice and 2 oz fruit puree
11:00 - 5 oz bottle
12:00 - 2 oz veggie puree and 2 oz fruit puree (will begin introducing finger foods with whatever I'm having also)
2:00 - 5 oz bottle
5:00 - 5 oz bottle
6:00 - 2 oz veggie puree and 2 oz fruit puree (whatever we have also)
8:00 - bedtime bottle and usually STTN but if she does wake a short rocking will typically put her back to sleep without a feeding
It's been nice to see everyone's schedules because I never thought of decreasing the amount of bottles but increasing the oz per feeding! It would be nice to do 3 bottles instead of 5!
8:30 am - oatmeal at day care, handful of cheerios
11 am - 8 oz bottle
~11:30 am lunch at day care (mostly fruits and veggies, they sometimes hardly touch it and sometimes eat a bunch)
3 pm - 8 oz bottle
~4 pm - afternoon snack at day care (variety of things)
6:30 pm - 8 oz bottle, solid foods (yogurt, fruit / veggies, cottage cheese, scrambled eggs, we're trying to move towards whatever we're eating but not there yet) unless they're falling asleep tired
We just had our 9 month checkup and the pediatrician said "that's a lot of formula!" and told us he wants to start weaning them off formula and increasing the amount of real food they're eating, so that around 12 months we'll drop formula altogether in favor of milk. He said they're not eating much real food because they're so full from the formula. So we're decreasing to 6 oz per feeding for now, will probably go down to 4 oz per feeding next month. My big drinker is not going to like that!
