I know we're still 6 days to EDD but really? I know he's got to be about 9 lbs by now if the 1/2-lb-a-week formula is true (and it was, when I did the math from 32s u/s to 37w u/s). Plus I am hot, uncomfortable, and just a wee bit impatient. People keep telling me to cherish the last of our one-on-one time but it feels like he's as uncomfortable in there as I am.

Please get out so we can meet you and love you!

fingers crossed he comes out soon! I remember how hard the last few days were. I wanted her out soooo bad. good luck that labor will start soon and your precious son will be in your arms in no time :-)

I'm in the same boat - big baby and all... I have another growth U/S on Thursday (the 16th) - not sure why....(he was measuring 8lbs at my 35wk U/S). My OB says we'll induce at the earliest on the 21st and I intend to hold her to that.

Here's to lightning crotch, uh-oh bladder leaks when sneezing, flaming pelvis', and broken backs!! Hang in there Mama!

Have you tried having an acupuncturist or massage therapist trigger the contraction/labor points? I had my acu do it just past 38 weeks and went into labor 4 days later. Can't say for sure it caused it, but being an FTM everyone kept telling me I'd go past my due date, and instead I had her a week early.

I've been known to grab my belly and yell "GET OUT" once or twice in past pregnancies.*blushing*

I had a baby at 9lb 12 oz, and it was so excruciatingly more uncomfortable to be pregnant with him than my smaller babies - labor dust coming your way.

Having delivered a 9lbr vaginally myself, I know just how uncomfortable you are. DS was posterior and sat on my tailbone for the last 8w or so. It was horrible. I hope for your sake that your peanut decides he's just too darn cramped in there and makes a serious effort to vacate the premisis sooner rather than later. ((HUGS)) hang in there!

ELF - I hadn't considered this but I will look into it. Doc appt today and she is still super laid back about the whole thing.... "oh we'll check again next week (at 40w3d) but we're not likely to start scheduling inductions until you're a week or two past due."

I felt the same way, remember? In the end, LO was less than 8lbs. And, being induced wasn't so bad. The labor was lightning fast.
