I take the gummy vitamins because they others are way too harsh on my stomach. I don't take an iron supplement, but I make sure to eat plenty of iron rich foods. It's easier for your body to absorb nutrients through food anyway. Unless you are having issues with not getting enough iron, I think as long as you eat iron rich food you'll be okay, but I would ask your OB/midwife just in case

Not everyone needs iron so some pills leave it out.
In fact, if you don't need it, you shouldn't take it because too much iron builds up in your blood and is not a good thing. However, if your care provider recommended you take iron, I would either add just an iron pill to what you're taking or go back to the vitamin with the iron - you don't want to become anemic.

You can just do this. I take 2 Flintstones Complete a day and they are just the same as prenatal's also.
