well sort of. For the past 2 weeks she's been working on getting her tumb in her mouth. It's been so fun to watch. She balls up her fist and stares at her hand and moves it to her face, usually bopping herself on the head multiple times. She can get her fist in her mouth, but has trouble releasing her thumb. Last night though, she was able to extend her thumb and get it in her mouth for a minute or so. DH and I were so excited. We took a video because, yeah, we're 'those' parents.
I guess in 3 years we'll be wishing we never encouraged thumb sucking, but it will be great not to have to always have pacifiers in my purse!
Re: AW: my baby got her thumb!
Yay!
My LO got his thumb only once and actually sucked on it! Hasn't happened since though. He still is trying very hard to get that thumb!
I'm one of "those" parents too because I ran for the camera but was too late. lol
Ds2 is a thumb sucker and I actually like it better then the paci. He always has it with him and when sleeping he can always get his thumb in his mouth. My pedi said as long as he stops by 3-4yr old we're good. I'm not worried about it. And I do have a picture of the first time he put his thumb in his mouth.
