  • Guilty here. I am planning to do Look Whoo's One with Owls. I am so excited to start buying everything!  We will probably keep it pretty simple since we are just having something small at home for family and close friends.

  • I am starting to plan. First thing on the list is to decide where to have it. We currently live in a smaller condo. My living room is on the small side and not big enough to hold the 30 people that will probably be coming to his birthday party. My husband has a big family he has 3 other older siblings all married with kids. Plus his parents, my parents and my sister and her boyfriend. Neither of our parents houses are large enough either to hold so many people (during the winter time). My parents have a large back yard and deck but that just won't work in December!

So I thought I could have it at our church community room (I would have to pay to rent this out). Or my sister offered up her house. She has a huge living room and dining kitchen area that could hold everyone. However, she lives about 20 mins from where we live. What would you guys do??? Should I have everyone go to my sisters or rent out the church community room in town?

  • Oh yes, Pinterest has been a lifesaver. So many great ideas! We're not quite sure on the theme yet. Either way the party will be pretty small with just family members and a few close friends but I'd still like it to look cute!

  • I have been trying to think of things to put on gift lists for her birthday and Christmas, but not planning a party, yet. I honestly don't know if we will do a party for her this year. We didn't do anything for DS' birthday last year or this year and it was really nice staying so low key.

  • We will be having a party at our house. Right now, we are planning on perfecting a chili recipie. Since LO was born at the end of November, we decided to make a huge pot of chili outside since the weather will be perfect here outside. I plan on trying out some different recipes as soon as the weather cools off a little in a month or so.
  • Been pinning on Pinterest for a couple of months now and it's been so fun!  I'm doing a rainbow theme for DD although I still have no idea what sorts of activities to have.  Maybe it will be more like parent socializing than anything -- especially since the weather may be a bit unpredictable.
  • I am glad to know I am not the only one.  I have been researching all kinds of ideas.  Teagan is my only child, so I want it to be a big deal.  I will say, I have bought invitations and party hats.  Only cause they were cute and on sale at Hobby Lobby.  I am still seeking ideas.  I want to do it outside the house casue of space and not wanting to set up and clean up.   I am in the Dallas TX area, so if anyone has ideas please share.
