Chewing ice

Anyone else do this? It's seriously been my only real craving in third tri. It not only cools me down and lets me chew on something that won't spike my sugar (like most other things I crave...) but I just really like crunching on ice cubes. Weird? I'll sit there for hours just eating cubes. Feel like a freak. Someone else must do this... Right???!

    Me! I eat a big bowl at least once a day. I buy the 5lb bags from the gas station :) yum!

    I do this too! My OB said a lot of pregnant women do this and that it's actually a form of PICA. Just don't eat dirt or laundry soap or something.

    I have DH take me to Sams Club..they have the best ice!

    It's all I do during pregnancy. I get so sick of just chugging water, ice has been my best friend!

    Totally do this, love the ice machine at my office.... makes nice little ice pellets that are so easy munch on.  It is the highlight of being at work these days.  LOL

    I don't want to freak you out but have you had your iron levels checked?  I've heard cravings of chewing ice can mean anemia.

    Iron is good! I wondered too. Haha glad I'm not alone in this weird thing. PICA you say? Ha wow. We are freaky people

    Another vote for Sonic's ice!!!! I have tried the ice from just about everywhere and it iis the perfect size and softness for chewing ALL DAY! DH thinks it's the weirdest thing and always tells the drive-thru people "my wife has an unusual request..." when I order a large cup of ice. Major eye roll.

    My mum and DH are quick to tell everyone when people ask my pregnancy cravings too. They think it's hilarious. Blablabla. I have a cup of ice right now yummm
