I am not really where to post this. My daughter has coxsackie and I now have it at 29 weeks pregnant. I have the ulcers in the back of my throat. My OB wants me to get a fetal echo in two weeks but I keep reading about terrible complications such as stillbirth. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Re: Coxsackie during pregnancy
I was told last pregnancy when I was exposed to it that I would be okay since I was exposed to it before. If you have been around some one previously then it should be okay (I am not a Dr).
Dr Google is evil stay away from it.
I had it a 5 weeks, and I am going for the extra cardio ultrasound after the anatomy scan. My doctor was concerned because I had it right when the baby's heart was actually forming, which is the other concern besides delivering with it and passing it to a newborn.
You and baby are extremely likely to be just fine. They are just being extra cautious so of there may be a problem they can be prepared. Try not to stress, it has been hard for me not to worry, but the doctors are just doing their job to prepre for all possibilities.
