*My 5 free preg test ladies*

I totally didn't forget about you!  I will mail those pregnancy tests this week. Still working on my 32 postcards for my class-to-be.  Need to get them in the mail on Monday and will mail your tests then too!  32 first graders in one class - shoot me. Smile

Other lurker teachers - What's your class size look like this year?

Nope!  Just me and 32 little bodies. :)  Hopefully, if they all show up, after the first 15 days they will hire a third first grade teacher.  The other teacher has 33 on her list!

  • 32!! Oh my goodness!! I have 24 in my classes of 6th graders. The highest I've ever had was 29 and it was horrible! You can just do so much more with less kids in your class. Good luck! Hope you survive :)

  • Well, I'll be teaching seven periods each day. My smallest class is 14, my largest is 26. Last year, I maxed out at 32... it was the last period of the day, filled with the "worst" kids in the building. SOOOO glad that's not going to happen again this year!

  • Wow that's a lot of 6 year olds.  I hope they hire another teacher or a helper for you.  No worries about the tests.  I don't need them this week.  Hopefully I will get some good results in 3 weeks.  Thanks again!!

  • 32 in FIRST grade? That's crazy! I can't imagine that, especially for such a group of young students & in a year with reading as a main push.

Hopefully a few move away &/or you get another teacher. One of my classes (college) is at its 50-student cap. The other a senior seminar being offered for the first time, and is underenrolled (5 students - 25 is its max). I'm hoping it doesn't get axed and I have to be thrown into a class that's a new prep at the last minute.
